Role Overview

As a Friendly Visitor, you will provide companionship and emotional support to hospice patients by simply spending time with them. Your presence helps reduce feelings of isolation and brings comfort during an important season of life.

Volunteer Activities May Include:

• Engaging in friendly conversation
• Reading aloud or sharing quiet time
• Watching television together
• Offering a calm and supportive presence

No medical experience is required; just patience, compassion, and a willingness to listen.

Volunteer Requirements:

• Willingness to complete a brief orientation and training
• Consent to a federal and state background check
• Completion of a TB blood test (provided and paid for by Suncrest Hospice)
• Two forms of identification
• Current auto insurance
