Verda Healthcare, Inc. is hiring in California and Texas! We currently have a license with the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) and a contract with the Center of Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS) for a Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug (MAPD) plan to operate in January 2024. Position Overview

The Manager, Broker Support is responsible for the overall supervision, direction, and monitoring of the marketing and sales-related activities of Verda Healthcare. This position is responsible for maintaining a relationship with contracted FMOs and IPAs for the preparation and implementation of an annual Marketing Plan to ensure market share retention and growth in Texas, Orange, and San Diego Counties. Growth, PNL, and business development are a must.

Job Description

  • Plan and manage IPAs and FMOs in regard to achieving enrollment goals, as well as Verda's membership objectives.
  • Identify and develop relationships with individuals and organizations that influence the buying behavior of our target consumers, like Medical Groups, FMOs, Community Organizations, associations, etc. Understand the strengths and weaknesses of each organization and how it impacts the marketplace.
  • Measure, track, and report sales productivity, quality, and effectiveness.
  • Identify, contract, and oversee all outside Agent and Broker contractual relationships.
  • Conduct sales calls with FMOs/agents to assist with any questions and visit Medical Groups and/or contracted Physicians with agents for Verda branding.
  • Provide periodic sales and trending reports to the VP of Sales and Marketing.
  • Promote services to members that result in high-quality, patient-centered care that maximizes patients' outcomes through managed care and supports a higher quality of life.
  • Work closely with the Enrollment and Member Services Department to ensure that applications are processed correctly and retention efforts are maximized.
  • Conduct outreach activities in accordance with all the rules and regulations as set forth by CMS and the State of California.
  • Assist in acquiring and maintaining competitive Plan Benefits and other key competitive information.
  • Actively participate in community and/or professional organizations.
  • Provide presentations in an educational manner to clients on the benefits and the enrollment/application process.
  • Ensure the privacy and security of Protected Health Information (PHI) as outlined in the Compliance Program.
  • Work closely with contracted providers and serve as the chief liaison between the health plan and contracted providers on marketing and sales-related issues.
  • Other duties as assigned to ensure the continued growth and viability of Verda Healthcare.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in marketing and sales, related field, or equivalent education required; Master's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in the field of managed healthcare including Medicare or Medi-Cal, and commercial marketing and sales management.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of managed health care managerial experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, plus strong organizational skills with the ability to plan, prioritize and multi-task, as well as the ability to make articulate presentations in a public forum is required.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly sit/walk at a workstation in an office or cubicle setting. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25-50 pounds.
