Our client, a leading hospitality company, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be part of the Facilities department supporting the hotel's physical infrastructure in Oklahoma City. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
**Job Title:** Maintenance Technician
**Location:** Oklahoma City, OK
**Pay Range:** $16.50
**What's the Job?**
+ **Repairs:** Respond promptly to maintenance requests from hotel staff or guests. Repair or replace malfunctioning equipment, fixtures, and systems such as lighting, plumbing, air conditioning, heating systems, kitchen equipment, and furniture.
+ **Preventive Maintenance:** Conduct preventive maintenance tasks such as cleaning HVAC filters, checking fire alarm systems, servicing heating and cooling units, and ensuring all emergency equipment (exit lights, fire extinguishers) is in good working condition.
+ **Troubleshooting:** Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, including electrical, mechanical, and plumbing problems. Provide appropriate solutions to minimize downtime.
+ **Guest Requests:** Attend to guest requests related to room maintenance (e.g., broken fixtures, heating/cooling issues) in a timely and professional manner.
+ **Safety Compliance:** Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, local building codes, and hotel policies. Report safety hazards and unsafe conditions.
**What's Needed?**
+ **Education:** High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in building maintenance, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or a related field preferred.
+ **Experience:** Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance or a similar technical role, preferably in the hospitality or facilities management industry.
+ **Skills & Knowledge:**
+ Knowledge of basic maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems, and general repair work.
+ Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
+ Knowledge of safety practices and regulations in building maintenance.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with hotel staff, guests, and contractors.
+ Ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
+ **Certifications:** Certification in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing (preferred but not required).
