POSITION SUMMARY

The Production Control Clerk reads and reviews daily production schedule. This position prepares five (5) part tags according to production schedule to be placed on assembled units. The Production Control Clerk will maintain inventory and work closely with Purchasing to maintain stock

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Read Daily Production Schedule
  • Use fundamental operations in PRMS, such as Product Master lookup, Product Structure lookup and Sales order lookup for reference information.
  • Read charts prepared by Production Planning and Engineering containing certain information required for some unit tags.
  • Operate, load with tag stock and printing ribbons and maintain clean, the tag printing equipment.
  • Print accurate unit tags (five part tag) in advance of actual production.
  • Review CTB file to print tags in order to match the schedule and allow kitting for each production line.
  • Reprint unit tags in a timely manner that may have been incorrectly printed or damaged or lost.
  • Keep work area and unit tag rack in a clean and orderly manner at all times.
  • Maintain the inventory of unprinted unit tags and timely notification to Purchasing when additional unit tags need to be acquired.
  • Punctuality and attendance are very important as the production lines depend on the unit tags to be prepared in advance so as not to cause line disruptions.
  • Schedule, Release, and maintain Parts orders for production
  • Assist Production Scheduler as backup and process MFG Jira Shortages
  • Keep MFG jira shortages up to date and release accordingly daily to programming
  • Additional duties as assigned by supervisor

Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED

Experience:
  • One-year experience in Manufacturing
  • Previous HVAC experience preferred

Computer Skills:
  • Skilled with MS Office suite

  • N/A

Other Requirements:
  • Good product knowledge and familiarity with essential parts
  • Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion with minimum supervision
  • Self-motivated, self-directed and ability to perform multiple tasks
